Why Greenfield

A school built around the child

Strong results matter to us, and so does how a child feels walking through the gate each morning.

  • Strong academics

Small classes and teachers who know every student by name, with steady results in the Grade 10 board examinations.

  • Hands-on learning

Science labs, a library of 15,000 books and a computer lab used every week, not just on show days.

  • Sport and the arts

Football, basketball, music, drama and art alongside the classroom, so every child finds something to love.

  • A caring community

A full-time counsellor, house system and open-door policy keep parents, teachers and students close.

  • Safe by design

A gated campus, CCTV, trained first-aiders and supervised school transport on every route.

  • Ready for what is next

Strong English, digital skills and leadership habits that carry on to +2, college and abroad.

From the principal

A school where children are not a number

When we opened in 1998 with two classrooms and sixty children, we promised parents one thing: we would know every child. Twenty-eight years and 1,200 students later, that promise still decides how we teach, how we plan our classes and whom we hire.

Results are important, and our students do well. But I am proudest when a quiet Grade 6 child puts a hand up for the first time, or a Grade 10 student comes back to thank a teacher. Please visit and see for yourself.
